d Welcome Back to School Dear Families, Hello and welcome to Sacred Heart Catholic School! My name is Debora Cruz-Figueroa. I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year and can’t wait to meet you and begin an amazing year of learning and growing together! A little about me: This is my 35th year teaching, and I truly love what I do. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Inter American University of Puerto Rico. I am certified in all subjects from K – 8th grade. Also, I have a Master in Education Educational Leadership through the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. I am passionate about creating a classroom where students feel safe, valued, and excited to learn every single day. Building strong relationships with my students and their families is important to me. Working as a team helps every child succeed. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, traveling, and spending quality time with my family. This year, I look forward to getting to know your child’s unique personality, interests, and learning style. Together we’ll make this a year full of discovery, creativity, and fun memories!
